Finalistas del concurso "tesis en 3 minutos", de UNITA, 2024.
En la semifinal del concurso de UNITA "my 3-min thesis" que se ha celebrado hoy a las 12h en la sala Pilar Sinués del Paraninfo de la Universidad de Zaragoza han resultado elegidos para la final los siguientes participantes:
- Alejandro Fresneda (Programa de Doctorado en Ingeniería Química y del Medio Ambiente ), tesis: "Microwave-heating assisted valorisation of waste plastics".
- Carmen Rodrigo (Programa de doctorado en Medicina). Tesis: "Nutritional Interventions Studies in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus"
- Laura Larrodera (Programa de Doctorado en Estudios Ingleses). Tesis: "What Does it Mean to Be Human? (Bio-)Bots and AI in 2010s Feminist and Queer Science Fiction"
El resto de participantes pasarán a formar parte de la lista de suplentes con el siguiente orden de prelación:
- Silvia Calero (Programa de doctorado en Calidad, Seguridad y Tecnología de los Alimentos)
- Carlota Abad (Programa de doctorado en Lingüística Hispánica)
- Yamilka Toca (Programa de doctorado en Ingeniería de Sistemas e Informática)
- Andres Campos (Programa de doctorado en Física)
- Juan Zueco (Programa de doctorado en Física)
La final de este concurso tendrá lugar en la Universidad de Pau el 4 de julio, donde los seleccionados de la Universidad de Zaragoza competirán con otros participantes de las distintas universidades de la alianza UNITA.
El jurado de la selección local en Zaragoza ha estado formado por el director de la Escuela de Doctorado, Fernando Sanz, la Directora de Secretariado de Internacionalización, María Villarroya, y Melania Bentué, del Gabinete de Comunicación del I3A. La subdirectora de la Escuela de Doctorado, Eva Cerezo, ha conducido el evento (en la foto que acompaña esta noticia posan junto a los participantes).
In the semi-final of the UNITA competition "my 3-min thesis" that took place today at 12h in the Pilar Sinués hall of the Paraninfo of the University of Zaragoza, the following participants were chosen for the final:
- Alejandro Fresneda (PhD Programme in Chemical and Environmental Engineering ). Thesis: "Microwave-heating assisted valorisation of waste plastics".
- Carmen Rodrigo (Doctoral Programme in Medicine). Thesis: "Nutritional Interventions Studies in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus"
- Laura Larrodera (PhD Programme in English Studies). Thesis: "What Does it Mean to Be Human? (Bio-)Bots and AI in 2010s Feminist and Queer Science Fiction"
The remaining participants will be included in the list of substitutes in the following order of priority:
- Silvia Calero (Doctoral Programme in Food Quality, Safety and Technology)
- Carlota Abad (PhD Programme in Hispanic Linguistics)
- Yamilka Toca (PhD Programme in Systems Engineering and Computer Science)
- Andres Campos (PhD Programme in Physics)
- Juan Zueco (PhD Programme in Physics)
The final of this competition will take place at the University of Pau in July, where those selected from the University of Zaragoza will compete with other participants from the different universities of the UNITA alliance.
The jury for the local selection in Zaragoza was formed by the director of the Doctoral School, Fernando Sanz, the Director of the Internationalisation Secretariat, María Villarroya, and Melania Bentué, senior research management specialist at the I3A.
