Premio de Tesis Doctoral en Geofísica "J. García-Siñeriz"
La Fundación García-Siñeriz convoca el Premio de Tesis Doctoral en Geofísica J. García-Siñeriz para distinguir la mejor Tesis Doctoral en Geofísica Pura o Aplicada, realizada en universidades españolas o de Iberoamérica.
El premio es indivisible y podrá ser declarado desierto.
Los trabajos deberán estar escritos en castellano o en cualquier otra lengua cooficial española, en portugués o en inglés.
El jurado estará formado por miembros del Patronato de la Fundación J. Garcia-Siñeriz y científicos de reconocido prestigio pertenecientes a las universidades y centros de investigación de España o Iberoamérica. Su elección será realizada en función de las investigaciones realizadas en las tesis doctorales presentadas y siempre que no hayan sido directores de las mismas.
Podrán concurrir todos aquellos Licenciados, Graduados e Ingenieros cuya Tesis Doctoral haya sido defendida durante los años 2023 o 2024, habiendo obtenido la máxima calificación.
El plazo de presentación de candidaturas estará abierto hasta el 30 de junio
Todos los candidatos presentarán, junto con el trabajo, un documento acreditativo en el que conste la fecha de lectura, expedido por el Centro en el que se haya realizado.
Se otorgará un premio de 5.000 € (libres de impuestos) para distinguir la mejor Tesis Doctoral en Geofísica Pura o Aplicada, realizada en Universidades españolas o de Iberoamérica.
J. García-Siñeriz Prize for Doctoral Theses in Geophysics
The García-Siñeriz Foundation announces the J. García-Siñeriz Prize for Doctoral Theses in Geophysics, which aims to recognise the best doctoral thesis in pure or applied geophysics carried out at a university in Spain or Latin America.
The prize is indivisible and may not be awarded.
Theses must be written in Spanish or any other co-official language of Spain, Portuguese or English.
The jury will be composed of members of the Board of Trustees of the J. García-Siñeriz Foundation and renowned scientists from universities and research centres in Spain or Latin America. They will be selected on the basis of the research carried out in the doctoral theses submitted, provided that they have not been the supervisors of the theses.
All graduates and engineers whose doctoral thesis has been defended during 2023 or 2024 and has obtained the highest grade are eligible for the award.
The deadline for submitting applications is 30 June.
All candidates must submit, together with their work, a document certifying the date of the thesis defence, issued by the centre where it was carried out.
A prize of 5,000 euros (tax-free) will be awarded to the best doctoral thesis in pure or applied geophysics completed at a Spanish or Latin American university.
