Evaluación anual de los programas de doctorado
Se acerca el periodo de Evaluación del proceso formativo a través del Plan de investigación y del Documento de Actividades (DAD). Para los doctorandos y doctorandas de nuevo ingreso, además como novedad este año a partir del RD 576/2023, de 4 de julio, debe evaluarse el Plan de formación personal.
Tal como se indica en el Calendario Académico de Doctorado del curso 2023-2024, los doctorandos y doctorandas disponen hasta el 10 de mayo de 2024 para incorporar a la plataforma Gestión del Doctorado (SIGMA) la documentación correspondiente. Por su parte, los tutores y tutoras y los directores y directoras de tesis deben emitir su informe desde el 11 al 17 de mayo de 2024. A partir de esta fecha, la Comisión académica realizará la evaluación, acabando el plazo de entrega de las actas de evaluación por parte de los coordinadores y coordinadoras de los Programas de doctorado el 11 de julio de 2024 (como novedad este año, dicho proceso se hará a través de SIGMA – en breve estará actualizado el manual).
A modo de resumen, los doctorandos y doctorandas de primer año deben complementar asesorados por sus tutores o tutoras y sus directores y/o directoras de tesis, el impreso de Solicitud de aprobación de los Planes de investigación y formación y los doctorandos y doctorandas de segundo año y siguientes deben completar el impreso de Solicitud de evaluación anual del informe de seguimiento del Plan de investigación, para posteriormente subirlo a SIGMA.
Los tutores y tutoras y los directores y directoras deben acceder a SIGMA en el período indicado y tras revisar el plan de investigación y formación o el informe de seguimiento, según corresponda, y marcar la casilla de informe favorable o desfavorable. Sólo en este último caso es obligatorio incorporar en la plataforma el impreso de Informe sobre los planes de investigación y de formación o de seguimiento de los mismos. Si se marca la casilla de favorable, la cumplimentación de este impreso es opcional. Importante: dado que se está implementando este nuevo sistema, este punto sólo puede realizarse en el período indicado (del 11 al 17 de mayo).
Además, en esta misma plataforma deberán estar registradas y justificadas por parte de los doctorandos y doctorandas aquellas actividades formativas que se tengan que evaluar (DAD) por parte de la Comisión académica, las cuales deberán estar validadas por parte de su tutor o tutora, o su director o directora de tesis.

Se recuerda que es necesario obtener evaluación positiva para continuar los estudios de doctorado en el programa. Si la evaluación es negativa, el doctorando o doctoranda dispone de seis meses para reelaborar los planes de investigación y formación (primer año) o el informe de seguimiento (segundo año y siguientes). Si la evaluación de los mismos continuase siendo negativa, el doctorando o doctoranda causará baja definitiva en el programa de doctorado.

The period of evaluation of the training process through the Research Plan and the Activities Document(DAD) is approaching. For new doctoral students, and as a new feature this year as of RD 576/2023, of 4 July, the Personal Training Plan must be evaluated.
As indicated in the Doctoral Academic Calendar for the academic year 2023-2024, doctoral students have until 10 May 2024 to incorporate the corresponding documentation into the Doctoral Management Platform (SIGMA). For their part, the tutors and thesis supervisors must issue their report from 11 to 17 May 2024. From this date onwards, the academic committee will carry out the evaluation, with the deadline for submission of the evaluation reports by the coordinators of the doctoral programmes being 11 July 2024 (new this year, this process will be carried out through SIGMA - the manual will be updated shortly).
By way of summary, first year doctoral students, advised by their tutors and thesis supervisors, must complete the Application for Approval of Research and Training Plans form, and second and subsequent year doctoral students must complete the Application for Annual Evaluation of the Research Plan Monitoring Report form, which is then uploaded to SIGMA.
Tutors and directors must access SIGMA in the indicated period and after reviewing the research and training plan or the monitoring report, as appropriate, and tick the favourable or unfavourable report box. Only in the latter case is it compulsory to enter the Report on research and training plans or follow-up report form on the platform. If the favourable box is ticked, the completion of this form is optional. Important: as this new system is being implemented, this item can only be done during the period indicated (11 to 17 May).
In addition, on this same platform, doctoral students must register and justify any training activities to be evaluated (DAD) by the Academic Committee, which must be validated by their tutor or thesis supervisor.

Please note that it is necessary to obtain a positive evaluation in order to continue doctoral studies in the programme. If the evaluation is negative, the doctoral student has six months to redraft the research and training plans (first year) or the monitoring report (second and subsequent years). If the evaluation is still negative, the doctoral student will be permanently withdrawn from the doctoral programme.
