La Cátedra AgroBank "Calidad e Innovación en el sector Agroalimentario", impulsada por CaixaBank y la Universidad de Lleida, convoca el VIII Premio Cátedra AgroBank a la mejor Tesis Doctoral, destinado a doctores que hayan obtenido su título en una universidad española mediante la realización de una tesis doctoral en alguna temática relacionada con la Calidad e Innovación en el sector agrario o alimentario.

El objetivo de este premio es reconocer la investigación llevada a cabo en agricultura, ganadería o alimentación, en sentido amplio, especialmente en los ámbitos de la innovación, calidad o seguridad agroalimentaria, premiando aquella tesis que suponga un avance significativo en el conocimiento en este campo.

El premio está dotado con 5.000 euros, premiándose también un único accésit dotado con 1.000 euros.

Podrán optar al premio todos aquellos doctores, de cualquier nacionalidad, que hayan defendido su tesis doctoral en cualquiera de las universidades españolas entre el 1 de noviembre de 2022 y el 31 de diciembre de 2023, habiendo obtenido la máxima calificación (sobresaliente cum laude). No podrán concursar las tesis que se hayan presentado a un premio similar y aún no esté resuelto, ni las que hayan sido premiadas por cualquier otra institución. Se excluye de este criterio el Premio Extraordinario de Doctorado otorgado por la universidad en la que se defendió la tesis.

El plazo de presentación de solicitudes se inicia el 1 de marzo de 2024 y finaliza el 30 de abril de 2024 a las 14:00 h.

Call for the VIII AgroBank Chair Award for the best Doctoral Thesis

The AgroBank Chair "Quality and Innovation in the Agri-Food Sector", promoted by CaixaBank and the University of Lleida, announces the 8th AgroBank Chair Award for the best doctoral thesis, aimed at doctors who have obtained their degree from a Spanish university by writing a doctoral thesis on a subject related to Quality and Innovation in the agricultural or food sector.

The aim of this award is to recognise research carried out in agriculture, livestock or food, in a broad sense, especially in the fields of innovation, quality or agri-food safety, rewarding that thesis which represents a significant advance in knowledge in this field.

The prize is endowed with 5,000 euros, with a single runner-up prize of 1,000 euros.

All doctors, of any nationality, who have defended their doctoral thesis in any of the Spanish universities between 1 November 2022 and 31 December 2023, having obtained the highest qualification (outstanding cum laude), are eligible for the prize. Theses that have been submitted for a similar prize and have not yet been awarded, or those that have been awarded a prize by any other institution, are not eligible to compete. The Extraordinary Doctorate Prize awarded by the university where the thesis was defended is excluded from this criterion.

The deadline for applications is 1 March 2024 and ends on 30 April 2024 at 14:00.
