ATIC AWARDS for the best PhD theses in Communication and Master’s theses in Communication Research

Call for Entries

ATIC is launching the call for entries for the 7th Awards for the Best Doctoral Theses and Master’s Research Projects in Communication, with the aim of recognising outstanding research from affiliated universities that has been successfully defended with the highest marks in the fields of Audiovisual Communication and Advertising, and Journalism, from 15 September 2024 to 14 September 2025.

Awards

In the ‘Best Doctoral Theses’ category, there is a first prize of 1,000 euros and a runner-up prize of 500 euros.

In the ‘Best Master’s Theses’ category, a first prize of 500 euros and a runner-up prize of 300 euros will be awarded.

In all cases, a certificate will be awarded to the participants, as well as to the supervisors of the doctoral theses and Master’s theses.

Submission deadline

Entries for the two categories may be submitted from 1 June 2026 to 4 September 2026.

Documentation

Those wishing to apply for the awards must submit the following documentation electronically:

  • Application form, duly completed (ANNEX). This document includes a declaration confirming knowledge of and compliance with the provisions set out in the rules governing the call for entries.

  • Documents in digital format and as PDF files:

    • Doctoral thesis / Master’s final project.

    • Certificate of the mark awarded.

    • Curriculum vitae of the author of the doctoral thesis / Master’s final project.
