Transfer of academic record

Instruction concerning access, admission, enrolment, commitment and retention in doctoral programmes at the University of Zaragoza (Guideline of 9 July 2026, issued by the Doctoral School’s Management Committee).

Doctoral students may apply to have their academic records transferred to another doctoral programme at the University of Zaragoza. To apply for a transfer of academic records, they must meet the following requirements:

They must have been admitted to the destination programme during the regular admission period.
Have received a positive assessment in the most recent assessment in the programme of origin.
The deadline for submitting the thesis must be more than twelve months away.
Have a favourable report regarding the transfer of academic records from the thesis supervisors of both the home and host programmes.

The application must be submitted in accordance with the procedure established by EDUZ. The academic committees of both programmes must approve the transfer of academic records by issuing a favourable report.

The decision on whether to approve or reject the transfer shall be taken by the standing committee of the EDUZ steering committee.

Should the transfer be approved, the deadline for completion of the doctoral thesis, as well as any assessments and activities undertaken, shall be honoured.
