International Mobility - ERASMUS Programme

Erasmus Programme 2025-2026 for doctoral studies

The Erasmus programme provides a great opportunity for doctoral students at the University of Zaragoza to spend time at other universities during their studies. It also allows foreign doctoral students to study at the University of Zaragoza. Most of the agreements signed by the University of Zaragoza with other European universities within the framework of the Erasmus programme include places for doctoral students.
Deadline for submitting applications for the Erasmus+ Studies call for the 2025/2026 academic year:
From 25 November to 11 December 2024.

It is important to bear in mind that the places offered are preferably aimed at undergraduate and master's students. Therefore, doctoral students should contact the coordinating professors for the places they are interested in to assess the viability of their application. It is also advisable to inform the coordinators of the doctoral programmes or institutions where they plan to carry out their stay of their intentions.

In parallel with the ERASMUS + Studies programme call, the Call for Santander Erasmus Scholarships at the University of Zaragoza (see the resolution) as well as additional grants for mobility at partner universities of the European Alliance UNITA (pending publication).

You can find all the details of both calls on the website of the Vice-Rectorate for Internationalisation and Cooperation

OUT students

Doctoral students at the University of Zaragoza who are interested in spending time at one of the universities with places available for doctoral studies should first contact the International Relations Office (ORI) or the secretary of the centre offering the place, where they will be informed of the availability of places and the procedures and deadlines for formalising their application. The student selection process and the allocation of places will be carried out at the Centre offering the place requested, and the list of selected students will be made public at the end of the process.

The Doctoral School will contact the doctoral students whose applications have been accepted in order to proceed with the necessary formalities (Brief guide on the procedures to be followed by doctoral students once the grant has been awarded).

IN students

Doctoral students from European universities interested in spending time at the University of Zaragoza through the ERASMUS programme must apply according to the procedure established by their own university. They should contact the coordinating professors at their university regarding the places they are interested in to assess the feasibility of their application. It is also advisable to inform the coordinators of the doctoral programmes at the University of Zaragoza where they plan to carry out their stay of their intentions, in order to obtain their approval BEFORE formalising the application. (Brief guide on the procedures to be followed by IN doctoral students upon arrival at the University of Zaragoza).
