International Mobility –  ERASMUS Programme

Erasmus Programme 2026–2027 for doctoral studies

The Erasmus programme provides a valuable opportunity for doctoral students at the University of Zaragoza to undertake placements at other universities during their studies. It also enables international PhD students to undertake placements at the University of Zaragoza. Most of the agreements signed by the University of Zaragoza with other European universities under the Erasmus programme include places for PhD students.
Application deadline for the Erasmus+ Studies call for the 2026/2027 academic year:
From 24 November to 10 December 2025.

It is important to bear in mind that the places on offer are primarily intended for undergraduate and Master’s students. Doctoral students are therefore advised to contact the coordinating lecturers for the places they are interested in to assess the feasibility of their application. It is also advisable to inform the coordinators of the doctoral programmes or institutions where they plan to undertake their placement of their intentions.

In parallel with the call for applications for the ERASMUS+ Studies Programme, the University of Zaragoza Santander Erasmus Scholarships, as well as supplementary grants for mobility at partner universities of the UNITA European Alliance .

You will find full details of both calls on the page of the Vice-Rectorate for Internationalisation and Cooperation

Outgoing students

PhD students at the University of Zaragoza interested in undertaking a placement at one of the universities offering places at PhD level should first contact the Office of International Relations (ORI) or the secretary’s office of the Centre offering the place in question, where they will be informed of the availability of places as well as the procedures and deadlines for submitting their application. The selection process for students and the allocation of places will be carried out by the Centre offering the requested place, and the list of selected students will be published once the process has been completed.

The Doctoral School will contact the doctoral students whose applications have been successful in order to carry out the necessary procedures (A brief guide to the procedures to be followed by PhD students once the grant has been awarded).

IN Students
