Third Series of Lectures entitled ‘Technology Transfer, Entrepreneurship and Social Responsibility in Research’| EDUMH | 17-19 June

The Doctoral School of Miguel Hernández University (EDUMH), in collaboration with the Spanish Association of Scientists (AEC) and with the support of the Damián Rodríguez Olivares Foundation (Fundación DRO) for scientific entrepreneurship, presents the 3rd Series of Lectures entitled ‘TRANSFER, ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IN RESEARCH’ .

This edition is particularly significant, as it is the third and final instalment bringing this major three-year project to a close. The full and detailed programme can be viewed on the official website: https://conferenciascientificas.umh.es/.

The event comprises various activities that will take place in person in the Graduates’ Hall of the Valona Building (Elche Campus) and will also be streamed live online. As you will see, we have experts from the UMH and renowned specialists of national standing such as María Blasco (CNIO), Margarita del Val (CSIC), Javier García (UA) and Enrique de la Rosa (CSIC), amongst others.

The series consists of the following main sessions:

  • Session 1: ‘Presentation and institutional vision. How do academic institutions support knowledge transfer?’
    • Date: Wednesday 17 June 2026, from 4.00 pm.
  • Session 2: ‘Knowledge transfer in the first person’
    • Date: Thursday 18 June 2026, from 9.00 am (morning session).
  • Session 3 (Open to the general public): ‘Citizen Science: Mosquito Alert’.
    • Date: Thursday 18 June 2026, from 6.00 pm (evening session).
  • Session 4: ‘The social impact of scientific entrepreneurship’ and Closing Ceremony
    • Date: Friday 19 June 2026, from 10:00 am (morning session).

This event is open to all members of the UMH University Community, including lecturers, PhD and Master’s students, and technical staff.

Certificates of attendance and training: Upon completion of the lecture series, EDUMH will issue certificates of attendance to all participants. Each completed session will count as a block of attendance hours (3.5 hours per block). For UMH PhD students, this training will only be recognised as interdisciplinary training hours when attended in person (each session will be counted separately).

  • Registration for in-person attendees is required to manage venue capacity.
  • Registration for virtual attendees is essential to receive the streaming links and to ensure attendance is recorded for the certificate.
