Doctorate satisfaction survey results. Academic year 2024/25
Firstly, the Doctoral School would like to thank everyone who collaborated with us by responding to the surveys. We are particularly grateful for the open responses containing suggestions and constructive criticism, which we are using to continue improving. We would also like to thank the staff in the quality department and SICUZ, who make it possible to conduct the surveys and provide the data for analysis.
After reflecting on how to increase response rates and attempting to simplify the feedback mechanisms, this campaign has continued with the same model that was launched last year. Separate surveys were launched for first-year doctoral students under academic supervision and for doctoral students enrolled in the third year (and also in the fifth year, for part-time students). This year, it was not necessary to open the surveys to thesis supervisors and tutors, as these are biannual and this year is not the turn. We believe that this data collection is sufficient and does not tire people with a multitude of surveys to respond to.
In any case, the response rate of the two groups of doctoral students who responded is lower than in the previous campaign, which shows that it is not easy to achieve high response rates that lead to better representativeness. The average rating is higher (3.93) for first-year doctoral students and lower (3.67) for the other group.
- Satisfaction of doctoral students (first year of academic supervision):
- Average rating of 3.93/5 (academic year 2023/24, 3.9/5).
- Response rate of 22.61% (academic year 2023/24, 26.38%).
- Satisfaction of doctoral students (third and fifth (part-time) year of academic supervision):
- Average rating of 3.67/5 (academic year 2023/24, 3.61/5).
- Response rate of 14.63% (academic year 2023/24, 15.84%).
The details of the results of these surveys can be consulted here.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind you that our suggestion box is open all year round.
Thank you again for helping us to improve!
