Registration is OPEN until 21 SEPTEMBER

Do you dare to explain your doctoral thesis in 3 minutes?

Registration for Campus Iberus’s “Thesis in 3 Minutes” competition will remain open until 21 September 2026.

The competition sets the challenge of explaining doctoral research in three minutes, in an oral presentation in Spanish, using simple, clear language that is accessible to the general public.

The competition is open to members of the research trainee community whose theses are at an advanced stage, and who are enrolled at any Campus Iberus university (Public University of Navarre, University of La Rioja, University of Lleida and University of Zaragoza). Similarly, recent PhD graduates from those same universities may also register. (see the call for entries for details)

There will be two qualifying rounds, which will take place in Pamplona and Zaragoza, on 14 and 19 October 2026,respectively.

Those who pass the qualifying round will be invited to the FINAL, to be held on 6 November 2026 in Logroño.

A FIRST PRIZE will be awarded for the best presentation of a doctoral thesis, worth 1,000 euros, as well as two RUNNER-UP PRIZES of 600 euros each.

IMPORTANT: The winner of the competition will have the opportunity to take part in an international stage of the competition, to be held in Mexico and scheduled for November 2027. Should the winner decline the invitation, the opportunity will be offered to the runners-up, in order of ranking.
