Call for Papers: 12th CREAN Doctoral Symposium on Children’s Rights
Organized jointly with the Faculty of Law at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek, it will take place on November 5 and 6, 2026, in Osijek, Croatia. Held for the first time in this region, the symposium offers a valuable opportunity for academic exchange in a dynamic and welcoming environment.
This year’s theme, “Exploring New Horizons in Research on Children’s Rights Across Disciplines and Contexts”, invites reflection on evolving conceptual, thematic, and methodological approaches in this field. Contributions may address interdisciplinary and contextualized approaches, new interpretations of childhood, children’s agency and participation, children’s rights in vulnerable contexts, as well as the impact of technological, social, and cultural changes on children’s rights. The event will bring together doctoral researchers and high-level scholars from the fields of Law, Social Sciences, Humanities, and related disciplines to exchange ideas, discuss innovative research, and foster interdisciplinary dialogue.
Doctoral researchers working in the field of children’s rights are cordially invited to submit their abstracts by July 1, 2026.
