Call for expressions of interest CSIC / NSTC - ATRC Internship Programme 2026 (CSIC groups) | until 12 December

Calls for applications for pre-doctoral students at CSIC ICUs during the summer of 2026.

NSTC-CSIC PhD Internship Programme, in collaboration with the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) of Taiwan: pre-doctoral students from Taiwanese universities or technology centres will be able to undertake two-month stays at CSIC research ICUs. The ICUs must commit to and cover the costs of living and accommodation (minimum €1,200 per student/stay). The NSTC will finance the costs of transport, visa application and insurance and will also provide additional funding of €1,000 per student for living and accommodation expenses.

ATRC-CSIC PhD Internship Programme, in collaboration with the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC) of Abu Dhabi (UAE): pre-doctoral students linked to the research centres of its main R&D subsidiary, the Technology Innovation Institute, will be able to undertake two- or three-month stays at CSIC research ICUs. The ATRC will fund all expenses related to the student's stay (transport, living expenses, accommodation, insurance, visa, etc.).

Interested groups should send their expression of interest, completed in English using the forms provided and signed by the responsible researcher, the director and the management of the ICU, to internacional@csic.es by 12 December inclusive.

The information contained in the forms will be disseminated in the calls for applications to be published by the NSTC and the ATRC in the early months of 2026, for the purpose of collecting applications from potentially interested students and carrying out their internal selection process.
