‘Andrés Alcázar Crevillén’ Grant for Scientific Research in Biomechanics | Applications accepted until 30 September

The MAZ Chair is inviting applications for the “Andrés Alcázar Crevillén” Scientific Research Grant in Biomechanics, an initiative designed to promote research excellence and scientific outreach in this field.

The grant pays tribute to Dr Andrés Alcázar Crevillén, who for many years served as Director of Healthcare Services at MAZ, was a driving force behind the MAZ Biomechanics Laboratory, and was a tenured professor at the University of Zaragoza; his professional and academic career made a decisive contribution to the development of applied biomechanics.

The call for applications will recognise the best Master’s Final Project or Doctoral Thesis defended during the 2024–2025 or 2025–2026 academic years, provided it has been awarded the highest academic mark.

The grant is worth €2,000, intended to fund the publication of the work in indexed scientific journals, research stays or the presentation of results at specialist conferences.

Deadline for applications: until 30 September 2026.
