4th International Conference on Promoting a Sustainable Future | 13–15 January 2027
The International Conference on Advancing Towards a Sustainable Future (ICASF) at the University of Abu Dhabi, now in its fourth edition (ICASF 2027), which is indexed in Scopus and held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Member of the Cabinet and Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, will be graced by the presence of His Excellency Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, and Her Excellency Dr Maitha Al Shamsi, Minister of State. ICASF 2027 will take place at the University of Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi from 13 to 15 January 2027, under the theme ‘Reimagining the Future: Technology, Innovation and Interdisciplinary Solutions for Global Impact’
The ICASF 2027 conference aims to bring together a distinguished group of university leaders, academics, industry experts, diplomats and policy-makers from around the world to present research, engage in meaningful discussions and share their perspectives on pressing challenges relating to sustainability and artificial intelligence, as well as on the future of higher education, innovation in research and global academic collaboration.
We are proud to announce an exciting collaboration between Wiley and the University of Abu Dhabi for ICASF 2027. This landmark collaboration will support a special collection on: 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲: 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗮 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂 𝗿𝗲, which includes 35 journals indexed in Scopus, the majority of which are classified at levels 𝗤𝟭–𝗤𝟮. This is in addition to the 9 journals already confirmed, bringing the total number of publication opportunities to 44 journals and 5 conference proceedings, creating an exceptional opportunity for researchers, academics and thought leaders to publish high-impact papers addressing some of the world’s most pressing sustainability challenges.
Immediately following ICASF 2027, the University of Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with UI GreenMetric, will host the International Sustainable Leadership Meeting (ISLM 2027) on 15 January 2027 at the University of Abu Dhabi.
Under the theme: ‘From Commitment to Measurable Impact: Leading Universities in Sustainability in the Age of AI — Universities Accelerating Climate Action, Digital Transformation and Global Collaboration’
ISLM 2027 will bring together university leaders and sustainability experts from around the world for a high-level leadership forum focused on translating institutional sustainability commitments into measurable impact.
The programme will include discussions on leadership, expert presentations, round-table discussions and opportunities for global university collaboration, with key outcomes such as the Abu Dhabi Leadership Declaration 2030 and a specific policy brief.
Together, ICASF 2027 and ISLM 2027 will offer three consecutive days of research, dialogue on leadership, networking and international collaboration at the University of Abu Dhabi.
