28th Annual Fertiberia Award for the Best Doctoral Thesis on Agricultural Topics | Applications due by May 30, 2026

This award, which aims to promote the rational and responsible use of fertilizers in line with the principles of sustainable development, is a clear example of our commitment to research, excellence, and academic talent.

This initiative was launched in 1996 with the goal of supporting talent and research, recognizing the best academic theses defended at universities in Spain and Portugal in the field of fertilization and agronomy. It is organized in collaboration with the Official Association of Agricultural Engineers of Central Spain and the Canary Islands (COIACC) and, since its 25th edition (2023), has also included the participation of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM).

Since its inception, more than 500 studies from over 50 universities and research centers have been submitted, and prizes totaling more than half a million euros have been awarded. Thus, in addition to its immense academic prestige, it is one of the most generously endowed agricultural research awards in Europe, with a prize of €30,000 each year.
