2nd Conference on Alzheimer’s and Other Forms of Dementia

The 2nd Conference on Alzheimer’s and Other Forms of Dementia, which will take place on 4 and 5 November 2026 at the Hotel Montera Plaza in Los Barrios (Cádiz).

The programme will feature specialists from universities such as the University of Cádiz, the University of Seville, UNED and CEU Cardenal Herrera University, alongside professionals from the Andalusian Health Service, Community Social Services and other specialist institutions.

The conference will address dementias from a transdisciplinary perspective, covering topics such as neuroscience, biomedical research, cognitive decline, prevention, early diagnosis, psychology, healthcare, nursing, social work, law, long-term care, architecture and the design of adapted environments.

The content may be particularly relevant for PhD students in Psychology, Neuroscience, Health Sciences, Biomedical Research, Medicine, Nursing, Social Sciences, Gerontology, Social Work, Law, Architecture and other related fields.

Furthermore, its transdisciplinary approach promotes the exchange of knowledge between disciplines, exposure to different lines of research, and the transfer of scientific knowledge to professional practice and society.

Free, online training with the option of university accreditation

One of the fundamental principles of this project is to ensure that participation in the conference is completely FREE, whether in person, live online or via a later recording.

PhD students will therefore be able to access the scientific content free of charge from anywhere in Spain and, if they wish to obtain academic recognition from a university, they may apply for the relevant UNED programme.
