First Online Training Series on the Web of Science Database

The training sessions for this database will take place throughout the first half of 2026 (January–June), with the aim of highlighting the updates, changes, and new features of this database through several free sessions in Spanish, each lasting 60 minutes, which will be held over the coming months at a rate of two or three sessions per month.

This is how we have been doing it since 2024, with quite impressive results in terms of attendance and participation. As usual, please note that these sessions are open to and intended for all students, researchers, and users who are part of anySpanish R&D&I institution with a Web of Science license. You can view the 2026 TRAINING CALENDAR here.

The training sessions can be followed using the Webex tool (check Webex settings on your device and How to register and connect to WebEx?) and are designed as thematic workshops that also specify their difficulty level. If you have any problems connecting to Webex, follow these steps and we will try to help you gain access.

Registration for these courses for the month of May is now open, and you can register using your institutional email address via the Services / Training menu on our website or through this link: REGISTRATION.

The sessions will be recorded, and the following day, you will be able to view the video of the session as well as access the training materials, which will be available on our website.

SESSIONS OFFERED AND REGISTRATION: It is essential to register with an institutional email address. Registrations using commercial email addresses will be automatically rejected. Please be sure to register with your correct personal information, as this will be the information that appears on your certificate of attendance, which is generated automatically once and will include all the training sessions of the First Training Cycle (January through June) that you have attended and actively participated in, having answered all the questionnaires provided during the sessions.

It is essential to use a personal computer for proper participation in the training sessions.

TRAINING MATERIALS: presentations and videos will be available once each training session ends.

Participants in the online training sessions will receive a satisfaction survey via email, and once the First Training Cycle concludes in June, they will receive the certificate of attendance at the same email address used for registration. This certificate will list all training sessions attended during the First Training Cycle, whether one, two, or all sessions offered. Please note that, in order to receive the survey and the certificate of attendance, you must answer all questions asked live during the online training session, and this is the only way to obtain the certificate.

Certificates are not issued until the training cycle has ended, whether in June or December.

Finally, it is very important to remind users that they must receive the confirmation email for the session they have registered for; otherwise, they will not be able to access the sessions.
