Checks prior to thesis pre-submission

Prior to the pre-deposit of the thesis, it is advisable for the doctoral student to contact the administrative office of their doctoral programme to inform them that they plan to pre-deposit their thesis.

Likewise, they must check that they meet the necessary requirements to pre-submit it:

  • You have formalised the enrolment for the current course.
  • You must have two positive evaluations in the regular period and have passed the course in which the deposit is made (the Academic Committee must carry out the evaluation and the EDUZ will generate the deposit certificate).
  • There are actividades obligatorias del programa and these have been incorporated, with the corresponding supporting documents, in the activities document (DAD) through the application of Doctoral Management, with the acceptance of the thesis tutor and supervisor (for the activities to form part of the DAD that will be reviewed by the thesis evaluation panel, they must be in the Completed status). (see SIGMA manual, section 6). The thesis supervisor or director must validate these activities in the application, changing the status to Completed (see SIGMA manual, section 6). IMPORTANT: The DAD that will be sent to the panel that will evaluate the thesis will only include those activities whose status is Accepted Proposal or Completed. Activities with the status Proposed and Proposal not accepted will not be included in the printed version of the activity document. Once the pre-deposit has been made, they cannot be modified.

  • The following have been passed: complementos formativos, en caso de que se les hubieran asignado en la admisión..

  • The end of the deadline for the submission of the thesis.

  • The student insurance or accident insurance is up to date.
