CHORAL Doctorate (Marie Curie fellowships) | applications until 15 January
A total of 14 doctoral scholarships will be awarded in subjects related to cultural heritage, starting in September.
The CHORAL programme, made up of UNITA universities, is launching 14 Marie Curie doctoral scholarships for the third consecutive year. Those selected will spend three years researching cultural heritage at three different UNITA universities. The application period is open until 15 January 2026.
Selection criteria:
Interested candidates must meet the following requirements in order to apply for the CHORAL programme:
Hold a master's degree that allows access to a PhD in Social Sciences, Arts, Humanities or Architecture applied to Cultural Heritage
Prove a minimum level of English of B2.
Not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the recruiting entity for more than 12 months in the 36 months prior to the deadline for the call.
If you meet these requirements, you may apply for up to three doctoral research topics offered in this call for applications.
The financial endowment of the scholarship will vary depending on the location where it is carried out.
The amount for the following destinations is:
France: approximately €2,300 gross per month
Italy: approximately €2,270 gross per month
Romania: approximately €2,740 gross per month
In addition, the following amounts will be added:
€4,500 to cover travel, accommodation and other needs
€3,500 travel insurance to travel and participate in conferences and workshops
Finally, an individual thesis supervisor will be assigned.
