Approval of the 2025/2026 cross-disciplinary training programme
The Management Committee meeting held on 8 July 2025 approved the cross-disciplinary training programme for the 2025/2026 academic year.
A total of 41 courses are offered, 12 of which are new. Statistics training has been revised and reinforced with three new courses. More specialised and in-depth courses have also been included. Furthermore, the range of activities offered in English has been consolidated, with seven activities: these activities represent a financial commitment for the school, as they can be taught with a minimum number of students enrolled and are better remunerated. Efforts have been made to ensure that the range of courses on offer is balanced in terms of semesters and timetables (morning and afternoon) and to facilitate the participation of doctoral students who are not in Zaragoza (from the Huesca and Teruel campuses or currently on study visits) with a flexible face-to-face modality, which means that the course is face-to-face but that those enrolled who are outside Zaragoza are provided with a link to follow the sessions.
Finally, only two applications have been rejected as they were redundant with the existing offer. It should be noted that the cross-disciplinary training opportunities for doctoral students go beyond this course offering, which is complemented by activities in collaboration with the Vice-Rector's Office responsible for knowledge transfer, the G9 courses, including the Charlesworth online seminars, interdisciplinary doctoral conferences and meetings, and training opportunities offered by the UNITA alliance.
In addition to approving the School's cross-disciplinary training offer, it was also approved to maintain the discount on tuition fees for students with disabilities and to set the amount to be paid to teaching staff at £55/hour (5 pounds more than in previous editions) and £75/hour for courses taught in English.
