Students with a foreign not-standardized degree issued by a non-EHEA country
1. APPLICATION FOR ACCESS TO DOCTORAL STUDIES
The academic calendar shows the deadline, generally June, for the ACCESS applications with a non-standardized foreign degree from countries OUTSIDE the EHEA.
The application must be submitted to the Academic Committee of the program of interest, accompanied by the following documents:

Photocopy of ID card or passport.

Higher education degree diploma, authenticated by the Ministry of Education and by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country of origin, by the Spanish Consulate in said country and by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs*.

Academic certification of the studies completed with the same authentication as the degree*.

Program and contents of the subjects taken.

Document justifying that the degree gives access to the doctorate in the issuing country.

*NOTE: Only photocopies of the authenticated documents may be submitted at the time of application, the original authenticated documents must be presented at the time of registration.
Any documents issued in a language not commonly used in the international community must be translated into Spanish by a sworn translator. The application form provides additional information of interest.

In addition, you must present, at the administrative headquarters of the corresponding doctorate program, the application form for admission to doctorate studies (available in the forms section of the Doctoral School website). Admission will be conditional on favorable resolution of the Doctoral Commission on the equivalency of foreign studies.

2. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE EVALUATION AND RESOLUTION OF APPLICATIONS
To be considered, studies completed prior to the doctorate should be equivalent to 300 ECTS credits, and at least 60 of which should correspond to the official master's degree level. The programs should grant access to doctoral studies in the issuing country. Once accepted by the program’s Academic Committee, the application will be forwarded to the Doctoral Committee, who will resolve it definitively. The resolution, favorable or unfavorable, will be notified to the interested party and to the program coordinator as soon as possible.
If the decision is favorable, the student may continue with the admission process without having to resubmit the previous documentation.
